Glitter Ink Printing?

Need some advice here getting ready to print some glitter inks, think I,m gonna go with Wilflex 16055 Silver Glitter, whats the best mesh count to get a good coverage, art is block and printing on black shirts.  It's been so long since we've printed glitter I just need to refresh what I thought I knew LOL.  I thought about using stahls glitter heat press, but doing it in house after doing the math will be cheaper for a our customer, and gives me a little more control over the end product, plus turn around.

* I don't have cap film, is it possible to make your own cap film?..I only ever need like 5 sheets a year...hmm

Make sure you get a good flood and adjust your off contact due to a thicker ink deposit. A new or tight 24 mesh should work just fine. Oh, and one more thing.. Stir the ink before use

Yeah I know Frog glitter particles everywhere LOL, I thought 24 was what I used last time, now I got to look in some boxes to see if we still have some 24 mesh still around or like Robert mention buy some new tight screens, thanks guys.

I get asked this question a lot.  We always recommend 24 mesh.  It has always worked for someone that is using glitter inks. It basically is comparable to a screen door.

33 mesh here. we don't flood hard.. just enough

We've gotten by fine with using 80 mesh for glitter and metallics. Will have to look into this!

Wow! big difference between the particle sizes in those two inks. Real glitter flakes are closer to the size of a pinhead!

We're using crystalina for "glitter" effect at the moment.

Crystalina is a different flake dimensionally and micron/size than standard glitter

Thread diameter will also have a big impact on mesh selection.

Sep for a sec I thought you where onto something using 80 count LOL, I've tried 80 and all you get is the base glue form the glitter ink and the glitter stays in the screen.

I've run glitter through 16T (super bath mat) to 36...
