DRYER SOLUTIONS
« on: November 24, 2017, 12:07:05 PM »
So I need a little more dryer capacity but don't have a ton of space. I am currently running a Brown Sierra 3611. Was thinking about adding a 36" wide radiant flash dryer over the in feed belt. The idea is if I could start the ink warming process before the shirts go into the dryer I could maybe run my dryer belt a little faster. Has anyone had any luck with this type of set up? It would be inexpensive and would not take up much more floor space than I am using now. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Tom

How much infeed do you have?
That flash panel could get in the way and make loading shirts a little less convenient.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I have about 60 inches and the flash I’m looking at what only take up about 12 so I think I’m OK in that regard. Just didn’t know if it would really work since it would not be in closed.

I have two 48" brand new black body 12 in wide panels, I would let go for cheap if you wanted to experiment ;)

I appreciate it but I think that would be too wide. Don’t want to cook my dryer rails.

Just curious, do you know how many pieces you’re getting through the dryer now? Do you use it for WB/DC inks?

Using plastisol now mostly. Depending on the design we can get 300-500 through. Just would like a little more capacity to make it more comfortable. Not sure if a 10x36 inch flash on the way in would help or not since it would not be inside the heat chamber. Was hoping someone on here had tried it already.
