Dryer Log

Does anyone keep a dryer log? I am thinking of including Brand, Fabric, Belt Speed, Oven Temperature and Measured Temperature. Anything else that may be helpful to include?

If you do not keep track of your dryer settings in a log, what is your preferred method?

whiteboard on side of dryer, but we also constantly check temp. I'm paranoid about cure so every job is checked.

I frequently log dryer settings with the other setup specs for the job (i.e., mesh counts, print order, stroke count, etc.) - especially if the settings are different from our typical "default" settings. I also temp every job at multiple times during run.

One nice thing about some of the new dryers.........pre-program for discharge, triblends, LC inks etc. Just push a button

We have 4 settings,

1 - almost everything
2 - picky polyesters and bad bleeders, which we see less and less of every year, Sanmar poly's rule!
3 - Non-woven bags
4 - Hats with plastic closures (snap-backs)

That's part of the beauty of a gas oven with good airflow, setting # 1 will cure any ink deposit and we have never scorched a shirt in the oven.
