Ulano Hardener X

I got a gallon to toughen up our discharge screens. Looks pretty toxic. Any of you guys use this and what method do you apply and protect your employees?

It's a very mild acid.

Gloves and a sponge will get the job done.

Make sure you get the reclaimable hardener, and don't let them sit around too long before reclaiming or you'll end having to R.W.S. (Reclaim With Scissors) as it will lock the emulsion up completely after a few days.

Thanks Tony, Gonna give that a try. Got a 600 pc run coming up with some runny thin red ink that likes to soak into the screen.

Best to let the screen sit with no fan it needs to work its way through

are you buying scorch out from your suppliers too, instead of using hydrogen peroxide?

I'd test the vinegar.  It's cheap and available anywhere.  If you need something stronger, try the ulano hardener.
