How would you print this red logo
« on: August 30, 2017, 11:51:54 AM »
I need to print this logo with some lettering on off white cotton bags.
I could do it CYMK, actually has no C or make one screen and print the red/magenta color.
Would like to hear how others would do it, the difference in tones is quite subtle.

I second Tony
But, it looks like you might need a slightly darker 3rd shade for some of those shadow areas where line sections meet up.  Just to keep the contrast at least...

Your choice on whether you would want an underbase for your garment.

I would do this as a 3 color separation.

For me, I would use the 2 screens Tony mentioned and add a highlight white for the 3rd
It's not a job if you love doing it.

Hi Maxie, I printed a similar job ,to achieve a soft color transition,I used a four color separation,2 for the reds and 2 for the pinks, but this is not the point, the problem is that  you can face a high detail challenge if your film printer isn't able to print a high resolution halftones around 55 LPI. To achieve this high quality and detailed image I used a really nice laser film processor. I love to print high detailed images for my customers; this make them happy.!!
Tell me if this was helpful :)
