leveling instructions

(1/1)

balloonguy:
Does anyone have instructions on proper leveling? Any guess what it cost to have an M&R tech come do it? I have an older Diamondback and it needs help!
Thanks,

Here is a great read of leveling platens...

ScreenFoo:
I could have sworn there was a good bit somewhere here on figuring out which head to level to initially.
The linear error between heads can be a PITA if you level platens to one that's out of whack.

That floodbar with dial indicators Alan has would be pretty sweet for that as well as leveling... assuming you have platens that are actually flat.   ::)

My recombination is to call toll-free: 800.736.6431 and ask for the service department. Tell them you’re problem, they're pro’s and will be happy to walk you through an adjustment, or give them your location and press information and they will quote you for a service call.  I handle used equipment sales for M&R and I tell every owner/operator to learn as much as possible from the M&R technician that works on their press.

RICK STEFANICK:
ok, It's not rocket science and with a few instructions you can level the heads and pallets on a diamondback 10 color in 2-3 hours. I cant type it all out but if you want to call me I promise you will be able to do it like a pro. And there's always the fastest option 2 and that is to purchase a LOC guage that stretch devices sells. A lot of service tech's have them. With one auto and the few times you need to do it with the newer presses the ROI on time saving is probably a few years.
