I was having the same problem wand spraying water everywhere except where I needed it, crappy plastic wands, pressure washer is fine, wand just sucks, so what I did was buy a nice metal wand from Lowes and got parts here and there to fit it up to good hose with quik connects.  I've had this wand now over 3 years with no problems, BlueHawk is on the handle so i take that as the brand.

Check with a paint supply house, they usually sell and service pressure washers. They can even make custom wands for you.
Seen a lot of changes in this industry over the last thirty years, some better than others.
