Epson 4880 Help
« on: June 01, 2017, 07:31:05 AM »
My Epson 4880 keeps filling up the capping station with ink and the head then spreads this over the film.
I recently had the capping station replaced by the Epson dealer.
Could it be that the ink is not dripping through the filter into the waste tank?
Is it a problem with the capping station or the heads dripping ink?
I clean every morning and after a few hours the capping station is full of ink.
Hopefully someone on TSB understands this problem better than I do, thanks.

Probably dried ink somewhere. If the head itself was leaking you would likely see streaking and drips of ink on your prints and other areas inside the printer. Depending on how comfortable you are tearing the think apart you should be able to figure out where the blockage is and clear it. I've seen this more often I the funnel from the discharge thing to the maintenence tank rather than the capping station.

post pics of the inside of your printer if you can.  Would help troubleshoot.  I use a modified 4880 daily for DTG printing and have the thing torn apart with some frequency (daily maintenance is fun!)

In followed the instructions in the Conde video but must have done something wrong.
I am getting a error 00010035, if I remember correctly, I'm not at work.     Something about the pump.
This happened to me before, local agent charged me $250 to fix it.
Any ideas?
