"He who marches out of step hears another drum." ~ Ken Kesey
Some guy is probably running a sea of Lawson Troopers and stacking money!
I have a G3 16/18 about 2 months old now and I'm having the most trouble with the revolver. You have to keep your flash time high so that on the start up round, and if you ever skip a pallet, the flash will actually flash the ink. We have 3 dx's on it and it won't flash until there is a shirt under it. I've only run 2 jobs in revolver on it since having it, but that part kinda drives me crazy. The only work around is to have someone run around and press the test button at the pallet before the shirt gets there. This defeats the preheat premise like on our two sportsmans.
I run revolver every once in a while but run the regular flash mode because it's so simple. I set the temp I want the flashes to shut off at, but control the time on the main control panel as I run. I'll never scorch a shirt this way, and the press won't index until the timer counts down but the flash isn't on the whole time. It's kind of like using the best of both types of flashes in my opinion. I'll start at 5 seconds then within 50 shirts I'll be around 2.5-3. The flashes run every index no matter if there is a shirt on a pallet or not. I don't use the DX flashes fully yet because I haven't tried to but I run our flashes as regular quartz and the main features I like about them still work, mainly the temp setting. When you run the DX controls there are things that you have to have set correctly and I wonder if there is something you're overlooking or if the software is made to run that way. It's always good for the flashes to cycle even if you miss a shirt or are starting a print run, I can't think of a reason not to let them run so I doubt M&R did that on purpose. Makes me think some setting isn't right.

So on the DX flash, does it automatically adjust the temperature based on the temperature of the garment after the pallets heat up?

The DX does not adjust the temperature. The sensor is set for the temp you want to get to and will turn off when you get to that temp. As the pallets warm up the set temp gets there faster so the flash will turn off sooner
