Brown Electraprint Registration - How good is it?
« on: April 18, 2017, 12:59:37 PM »
Question is for Electraprint users past & present. I've read where a few people have said that Brown recommends 2 point trap, or similar statements to the effect that you need to trap more with Electraprints than many other autos. Is that true? And my real question: How tight of registration will an Electraprint hold? Will it work for CMYK?

I'm kicking around the idea of a used Electraprint for all of the reasons small shops do. But my current question is whether we'll be able to deliver comparable or superior print quality to what we currently provide. And that includes CMYK & duotone halftoned work.

Thanks in advance!
Nice guys laugh last.

As, with any press, the quality of a print starts off with the time and quality of the person that installs the press, brown,m&r, workkhorse, etc etc,  in the beginning.
If thats done sloply, then no matter what you do for traps, the end results will still be the same...slopy.
