Saati IR14 What is it?
« on: November 02, 2011, 05:18:31 PM »
I have a gallon of IR14 (fourteen)... but if you go to Saati's site you won't find it.

I've been using it like it's IR4 but I could be doing it all wrong.

I of course know what it generally is, I ordered it... well, I ordered an Ink Degrader.

But I like to read my datasheets and know what ratio I should be mixing at and such.

IR14 specifically dissolves plastisol and SUPPOSEDLY makes the disolved ink drain safe when used with WATER rinse, per Saati rep.  Apply it to a dirty screen, work it in with a brush, rinse.  It does work.

Yes, it works well, I use it on every job when reclaiming screens.  I'm an instruction manual nerd and like reading ALL the paper work.

It was demo'd to me, rep applied undiluted to the screens with a spray bottle, rubbed it in with a scrub pad, rinsed with high pressure.

It makes a mess of my sink, that's my gripe with it, if I had 2 sinks it would be different.

Sorry, I don't have the data sheet.
