Who has the most opaque Fluorescent plastisol inks?
« on: January 24, 2017, 09:22:08 AM »
Just got a large job in that has quite a bit of detail but the customer is wanting a bright fluorescent green on dark shirts.  I am thinking I am going to use a clear under base so that I don't get peaking from white behind the fine dots and lines in the design. What fluorescent ink would you use?  I have used some QCM fluorescent a while ago but can't remember how opaque they where.  Thanks Guys!!

IF possible, CCI Flo discharge inks are great, no need to worry about the base.

Union Maxopake flo's are opaque enough to P/F/P on their own, so they should do the trick for your application.

Had not even thought about that....I do not do a lot of discharge....What shirts are ok for discharge.  Would standard G5000 shirts work and does it matter if they are Heathered colors or not.  Sorry for the elementary questions, I just have not messed with much else other than plastisol.  I have been wanting to give it a shot though.  Thanks

G5000 work great, heathers seem to be hit or miss. CCI does have sample packs of colors. Talk to a rep and see if they can send you some.

We have found the best to be One Stroke.  But you should brace yourself for the price tag.

You can only make flourescent ink so opaque before the color becomes pastel.

ANY opacity boost is based on either white pigment or a micro puff which = white added.

Its up to you and your customer what color is acceptable for a flou green.

If printing plastisol - a p/f/p base white is strongly recomended.

Discharge is best.

Who carries the Sericol.  I am going to try and get a few discharge samples and see which I like better.  Thanks
