Look at this German made laser light system.    www.z-laser.com
This is a very strong, professional system and they last forever.
For textile you need the Z series, they have all the options, clamps etc.

Obviously I`m very biased when it comes to German products but in this case I`ll try the Chinese lasers first. Less then half the price. At least for the prototype:)

I ended up building one that is probably similar to the units based on the photos I had seen and it's working great.  A few changes will have to be made but it'll do for now!

What are these blue flexible "arms", that hold the lasers, called? Trying to find something like that online but have no clue what to search for.

They are called "loc line", specifically 1/4 loc line.  The fittings for brand name loc line and the cheaper version do not work together, so it does slightly matter which one you get.
