Woven Labels
« on: December 19, 2016, 10:41:56 AM »
Getting a ton of requests for woven labels sewn to knit caps/baseball caps. They are presenting a challenge when embroidering them to the cap though. Its just a tiny run stitch that seems to be in style, but the suckers move around a bunch when on the machine. Any tips? Maybe just a good spray adhesive on the back of them to hold them down? Im sure someone has a better idea than we do! Ive attached a pic of what Im talking about.

take them to a alterations shop.  We had them sew on some and it was less than a $1 a piece.

One dollar seems a bit steep to me unless it is small quantities. I should
think 72+ pieces should be $0.50 - $0.75. Another idea, if you have embroidery,
is to stitch them on like an applique.

These were also caps with a patch on the front..they weren't heat seal.

It was a tougher thing than those.

Honestly, $1 isn't bad.  How long would you think they take to do?  I doubt you could do more than 25 an hour.
