Screen room lighting

Getting the new screen room all setup and I'm looking for some help on the lighting end. I've got 2 fluorescent bay lights like you'd normally have (4 bulbs each). Is there any easier way to go about making them 'light safe' aside from putting individual sleeves on every light?  I was thinking maybe some kind of light safe film I could Put over the plastic lens of the fixture, or an entire new yellow/light safe lens that could replace the original one?

It's probably not going to effect much.  You can get a UV filtering clear film(kind of a silver-gray color) to knock out a little UV.  We have 2 8ft bulbs in our darkroom and we did one with the clear filter and one with the yellow filter.  Works great.

I don't honestly, we bought it a long time ago.  You might even look into replacing the covers on the light with UV plexiglass.  I think we used window film for ours.

We had diazo coated screens expose over a few weeks under the same bay lights. I know, I was surprised too.

1000bulbs.com  have the uv sleeves. We went with the yellow to A: be sure and B: look cool.

You can twist two of the bulbs if you don't  need all four on.

I've used all types of UV blocking from yellow bulbs LED bulbs Rubylith UV blocking sleeves yellow sleeves amber sweet everything you can imagine and now I simply use a piece of 99.9 % UV blocking polycarbonate plastic slipped in between the bulbs and the plastic holder we all see on fluorescent light in the ceiling

Passed the quarter test and even the weekend test in a screen room that had a very large polycarbonate see through window.

I replaced my yellow fluorescent tubes with white LED tubes and it's so great working in normal light. The LED lights work well in my space, but I also don't store dried screens exposed to that light, only coating and exposing etc.
