need a vacuum pallet for your press or vacuum table with hinge clamps.  That's the only special equipment vs printing a shirt directly.  Lots of threads discussing the method.

We print them right on press w spray tac. Ace screen supply paper, crystals and powder. Powder works great for fine detail. Just did some trucker hats today, worked out great

Yes it can curl, but using as little tac as possible and pulled off so the paper lifts at a low angle helps keep it from curling. And in the dryer the edges flatten back out.
