Sprint 2000 ignition problem

When we first turn our Sprint 2000 on in the morning it does not ignite and the failure light comes on. When we shut it down and restart it, it works correctly. M&R tech support suggested that we change out the spark plug and flame rod. We have changed them out and still have the same issue. It seams like the purge cycle does not complete the first time. Has anyone else had this issue or have any suggestions?

Is it failing when the system first tries to light or not even making it that far?

Ours would fail 8 out of 10 times when first installed.  Watching the pressure gauge of the gas flow, ours would drop below what the system would accept as "normal range" and sound the alarm.
Had my gas guy adjust he pressure regulator and it has not done it since.  (almost 15 years)
