Discharge base ???
« on: October 27, 2016, 12:14:16 AM »
I have a few questions about using discharge base.
When printing process can I use a water based discharge base?
Does this hold the dots?
When printing on dark shirts do you use a white discharge or clear with opaque plastisol?

our experience with discharge base is to use a clear and add white, but not too much; too much and the top colors, if using plastisol, may not stick well after a few washings... some of the other that do more of it may have the amounts of how much white to add to the clear...

we add 15% d-white to base. you can also add a small amount of pc white in place of the d-white. too much white will cause build up issues. remember a nice firm squeegee, 200 mesh minimum

Pro's and Con's for flashing the D-Base first or printing wet-on-wet?
Been in the industry since 1996.  5+ years with QCM Inks.  Been a part of shops of all sizes and abilities both as a printer and as an Artist/separator.  I am now the Ink and Chemical Product Manager at Ryonet.

SO TRUE. Our senior artist just brought me one and we decided to go with index INSTEAD OF DB AND 4CP. with wording and a highlite white your at 7 colors. with index its 8 but we will get a more vibrant print
