Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work. - Thomas Edison
So did you pick one yet?
This is refreshing to hear as all of the companies you have named put forward a pretty good product. Last summer as I was press shopping I got quotes from all of the major players and felt everyone I dealt with was pretty professional.
It was not that long ago that we kept hearing about salesmen bashing other manufacturers and getting downright nasty about the competition. I've been shopping for a couple of presses for about a month now and am in the final stages of closing the deal. It has been absolutely mind-blowing how nice everyone has been! NOT one of the companies said anything bad about another manufacturer and in one case even offered to help with competitor's (used) product. It was our interest that was put in front of everything else. All the ppl I talked to were very up front and straight forward to deal with. When our requirements were explained, sales reps withdrew some of the recommendations without making a big stink about it. I don't feel like there were any attempts to pull wool over our eyes or mask any potential issues. While process is still stressful, it is due to the myriad of options and trying to compare apples to oranges rather than unprofessional reps.Obviously, we have a rather high presence on the interwebs and we might get a preferential treatment in some way, but it never felt that way. I am genuinely convinced that the experience would have been the same for anybody else. All that said and done, I'd like to say thank you to Peter Walsh with M&R (always a class act!), Paul Schmidt at Workhorse, Jeffrey at Ryonet, Tom at SPSI and Brian at Hirsch. Anybody looking for their contact info feel free to let me know and I'll get you in touch.pierre
