Dear Wilflex, I urge you to allow distributors other than Midwest Sign to carry your products on the west coast.

I would assume that the Epic PC express system is likely the most popular plastisol mixing system in the world, and yet,
my local Midwest can't seem to keep stock of even the most commonly used pigments. And their internal system
for handling backorders leaves much to be desired. A three week lead time is not acceptable for something we go through a
gallon a month of.

I understand that your distributors problems are not yours, but the fact that they have a near monopoly on distribution
for the west coast is certainly your decision. We do business with Midwest quite literally out of having no other option for
purchasing your products. I don't think that's a position you want your end users in. Amazing Base, while as great as the name implies,
is only worth so much hell, before I start thinking about the local Rutland distributor.

What about Naz Dar in Los Angeles? You may know from my posts that I also needed to find a SoCal  source for my Union Ink for the same reason.

That's what we did this time, and found that their off the street pricing is lower than our "special guy" pricing with Midwest. Ugh.
Time to break up that monopoly.

I'm on it though I'm going to wager they will only be allowed to carry the newer lines, Rio etc.



I did just get a call from a Wilflex rep. in TX I believe that wanted to get me taken care of, which I absolutely
appreciate and would come to expect from a quality company like Wilflex/Polyone. Luckily SourceOne had it
though we're next day-ing it now.

Andy, What union products are you running? we currently are running the rutland m3 system which are long bodied inks. I really miss my maxopakes. Although 1 out of 10 orders are plastisol here im missing the printability of the union inks. oops sorry to get off track of the tread

I will second the comments about Midwest.

I will not buy anything from them.  If I need a Wilflex product I will wait 3 days for shipping from L.A. 

Even after it is delivered, it is cheaper than buying it from a distributor a few miles away...

I can go on and on about my opinions on them and how they have developed over the last 20 years.

Can you switch over to the C3's?  There you can at least go with Joe's clear base.  That will get the length under control ( I assume).  I need to get some in here to try out...

Ryonet is offering International Coatings pigments I believe.... If I remember right Danny is running them.  Along with Joe's Base?

Appopos to this thread, the first and longest running issues I had with Midwest was them always out of a Union MixOpake component I would need.
I also like their Ultrasoft black, and I got a gallon of their cotton white by mistake that I will be trying out. Props to Beckmar. They even mix Pantones, and make their own quarts from their bulk containers if they don't have 'em on the shelf.
