The Profit
« on: August 26, 2016, 07:56:45 PM »
I know some of you guys watch The Profit on CNBC. I just watched the recorded new episode, they give you a preview of what is coming this season. Looks like there is a printer. I saw a couple shots with a bunch of screens in the background, another shot with a manual in it.

Let's see how fast we can all take Marcus's insight and apply it!  ;)

Love that show.  Sometimes he can sound like a jerk but can't we all and hey, it's his money. I often think about these business owners. They go through crap! And when at the end of their ropes, they call him in. He lays out that he will do X and X and for X amount . When you are failing and at the end of your rope, you'd think that these people would just wrap their arm around him and say Heck yea! But no.  Way too often, they let emotions and ego get in the road.

Let's see.

1, Continue as we are and fail in a year.

2, skip "the profit guy" and hope to try someone else for a better deal.

3, give 51% of your failing Co. To Marcous and collect millions down the road.

Hmmm.

I'm sure some saw the episode. Nobody caught that screens were $175 each?
Did I hear that wrong? Must include art and everything, huh?

And oh yeah, Marcus mentioned his Camping World tees do $12 million yearly.  8)

Included storage too, at that point $175 didn't seem TOOO bad.

The business was like most poorly managed, but not as bad as that last print shop on there. I was in a great mood knowing we are doing way better than they are and we aren't in Nordstroms lol.

Yeah the last show I saw he walked away from the company he was trying to help, one of the owners was a total jerk, I think it was a skateboard company, it happens, I forget what night he comes on so I miss some of the shows unless I'm just surfing thru.
