Opening screens - no water

We have some screens to open for urgent jobs and due to a burst pipe we will have no water in our area for a day.
I can expose and drive to a place with water,to open the screens.      I thought of trying to open screens with a pneumatic spray gun.
Anybody tried this?    I'm not sure it will work.
Any ideas?

Do you have a dip tank with just water?

That gets you part of the way there.

Maxie, I use an old sprayout gun to open fine lines and halftones in screens when I need to, so yes with a dip tank and your gun it will work, I even seen a guy open a screen with a bottle sprayer.

People in 3rd world countries take them to the pond, dip and massage the image out by hand.

If you can plan for it, get a pond pump and a 5 gallon bucket of water. Use your washout booth by taking the drain and putting it into the bucket. This way you just reuse the water you have.

If you try the car wash with black bags, wet the screens in the bags and let sit in the bag for a min or two before trying to wash them out.

Don't know if there are any other near by shops... We've got good relations with the other printers in town and have called up to use their washout rooms. Pays to be neighborly! We'll call each other up if we need some off the wall garment to meet an order and everyone does their best to help.

I'm the same way.  Try to help out other shops and have asked favors just the same.  Has helped me out countless times.  Give a little and get back a lot!

Until you become the first call for a shop that can't get their crap together.  We have one close to us.  They can't even stock parts for their press. Simple things like cam followers(that they break fairly often), and prox switches.
