I have two EPSON 3880 printers, one for sublimation and one for paper. We also have a 4880 for film.
I recently had a problem with the 4880 and we were very busy so to solve the problem of printing film I put UV blocking ink into the second black cartridge. The 3880 has two Blacks, Matt and glossy.
We use Accurip so I set it for the Matt black and use the glossy black for paper printing.
It works really well if you print on sheets.
I think it will also work without Accurip, you just set paper type to Matt or Glossy, you have to play with the ink settings to get it black enough.
