Large Prints?
« on: May 26, 2016, 12:04:26 PM »
I didn't want to run the thread on frame size in a different direction, so I'll ask here, what is the benefit of printing say a 16 x 20 print or larger on a shirt or customers just asking for that size.  Our normal print size is 12 to 13 wide by 12 to 14 tall and that's on the back and then most times it's 12 x 12 because we print children to adult shirts with the same frame's...the reason why people around here don't want to pay for 16 screen setup on orders of 72 and less even the 150 above same screens.

3deep, I also print mostly 12x12 but also often need to explain that I can only go as small as youth medium (and I mean real youth medium not Gildan)
So, I have the same issue when they need kids small or x-small.
It is what it is.
When it's just a few, I go digital.
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Most of it is by request for me honestly.  Lots of people don't care, but there is a certain type of client (usually clothing brands) who want things as big as possible.  The other main culprit is school and event backs with rosters and/or sponsors.  At a certain point you just need as much real estate as possible to fit everything onto the shirt.

lol.  i guess they have a certain "look", but I think I would probably have a hard time stopping myself from laughing at someone who actually was dressed like that in public.

D, I think us on the west coast like John and myself run into lots of the not necessarily all over prints but big full front prints for clothing lines. I think my next press will have to be able to print 20" long which probably means 25x36 frames.

We can go 30" X 28" on our Stratus Jumbo but the AOP market around here has died off.
