Printing on a SanMar cinch bag with a zipper
« on: June 07, 2016, 09:19:09 PM »

Can this Cinch bag BG613 from SanMar be imprinted with a single ink? I realize that its a two hits per bag job. Right? But can it be printed on? I had two different answers from two shops.

This one: http://www.sanmar.com/sanmar-servlets/CatalogBrowser?swatchsearch=yes&id=10337379&prodimage=imglib/catl/2014/f20/BG613_poporange_front.jpg&swatch=Pop%20Orange&top=Y

Curious as to what the two answers from two shops were. They perhaps each tried different methods.
btw, San Mar has someone who advises on things like this, but may take a day or so to get back to you.

@ Frog.   So one shop in Chi said send me the bag. I called Washington... my rep said: "we never had people calling us with the problems"... and shipped the sample. Chicago shop gets the bag, I get a quote... holly smokes! I under-priced the job according to these guys. So I had to go shopping... Got a lead... call that shop.... They looked at the bag... "Can't do it. ... challenges with printing on the poly bags... melting is one of them."
I went hmm what!? melting?    So now, I am here.

How many?
I just did a bunch of backpacks and messenger bags with print and cut vinyl.
They were not exactly straightforward, but fairly easily figured out. On the other hand, the client asked for another piece of luggage that was not do-able.

just something else to consider if you have a heat press.

Oh, and lesson learned , I hope. Don't quote unfamiliar items blindly.

I would never think ... But I should have. Never say never. Right?
1,000 pcs. I'll call tomorrow Sanmar and find out what is their take on this.
And our shop doesn't do this thing... that's why I'm outsourcing.

We'll print on those bags no problem.
Message me the details of the artwork, size/color etc. and I'll get you a price.
Thanks,
