Sublimated Beach Towels
« on: May 31, 2016, 08:09:17 PM »
Hello,

I have a customer looking for some sublimated beach towels for a swim team.  Maybe as low as 50 but possibly 100 if that is the minimum.  Does anybody know of a good wholesale distributor?

Thanks!

would love to see this too. Most of the time they are done overseas with a different process if i'm not mistaken.

These guys are down our way (South Florida) and we spoke to them last year regarding a custom job, but it didn't go through so I can't speak for the quality. Microfiber towels.

www.protowels.com does 75% cotton / 25% polyester ones....http://www.protowels.com/product/imagepro-beach-towel-28x58/

Very interesting that their towels aren't even strictly poly. Are they treated with a poly spray perhaps? A local company here, Nova Chrome, used to sell a spray to allow sublimation on cotton T's
That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

Heads up when using poly faced cotton towels- some of those cotton fibers may get through the poly facing and won't sublimate.  Can be an issue with solid spot color type fills.  Not as big of a deal with photo images, etc. probably.

I would let your client know about this and voice it as a trade off- cotton feel towel but potential speckling in print v. microfiber feel towel with perfect print.
