I din't think that this indicates a start of a trend for me, but I do know that there is a a small group that seems to prefer a "plastiky" feel to their screen prints, and I just had a guy order some white transfer T's but specify the opaque transfer material.
I'm using Neenah papers, and for those who don't know, their Jet Pro Soft Stretch is remarkable stuff on whites and really lights. It fades a bit in the first wash, but also loses all hand.
The two inkjet transfers they have for darks are, rather than the clear membrane of the Jet Pro, a white sheet on which the image is printed right reading, not unlike the print and cut solvent stuff.
But, an 8" x 10" or larger rectangle of this stuff definitely is felt as much stiffer than the rest of the shirt.
This guy liked that!
Oh well, the customer certainly has the right to choose this, but it's a first for me.
