M3 frame parts
« on: April 14, 2016, 06:21:01 PM »
I'm going against my new rule about not refurbishing newman frames due to a crazy deal I got on 30 frames...

Many of them seem to be missing the plastic seal thing that goes on the bolt to seal the water out (the inside of the frames are dry, and the bolts aren't rusted or siezed, so maybe it's not necessary) but I'd really like to find them if I can.

does anybody have a 'compatible' part that they've used?  I was thinking maybe rubber o-rings?

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Buna-N 70d 1/16"x5/8"x3/32" O-rings have worked well for us.  Part 66823 from Fastenal I believe.

The oem ones are maybe a plastic sealing sleeve washer that could be found?  Do you know which mmc part specifically Brian?

Wait doesn't stretch sell them?  Only $19.95 for a baggie of three I bet!

I'm sure... I'll go with the o-rings before I buy something that's been re-labeled from them...

great product, but come on.

What, you don't like paying $20 for a handful of 0.10 fuse holders?

I swear half my drive toward CTS is freeing myself from paying hundreds of dollars for strips of plastic with holes drilled in them.
