« on: April 06, 2016, 11:39:29 AM »
I might be able to pick up an X-Rite 310 Densitometer, transmission type; is this what I would need to read film? That's to you Pierre...

I actually just about picked up a 301 cheap, but found a 361T for almost the same price.
310 looks nice, but is discontinued, if that matters to you.

Anyone running a 361T so they can measure UV base fog and response on films or am I getting too fancy?  :)

we run a Betalogic, so I don't know much about X-Rite. . . Transmissive is good, if it was UV it would be even better. I've seen the good ones go for as much as $300+.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

I'm seeing 3 plus more for parts on an auction site, if I can get them cheap enough, I'll keep one and sell the rest cheap...

I just got a used one today. It looks older than me but it works great.  I think I paid $280.
