converting PDF to Corel X6
« on: March 28, 2016, 11:07:27 AM »
I have a list of names that has been type set and would love to import but do not have the correct font that they used. I substituted Arial which looks just like it but it took out the spaces in between the names. Can someone see if you could do something with it or let me know how I would appreciate it...not really wanting to type all those names if I don't have to.

I would have done more to help with this, but when I opened the file, the font was all garbled..all I was able to do in the moment was tell what the font was supposed to be. Glad Doug got you what you needed and it all worked out!

I used the old trick of placing it in a new file in AI and flattening. Ususally works evert time.
Glad I could help. I do have Calibri if you need to change anything. Just send me a line.

I'm sure Sportsshoppe knows the drill, but for others reading this now or in the future, whenever possible, ask the custy to first convert the fonts to curves or objects before converting the file to pdf. Of course, this assumes that they are using DRAW or Illy and not a word processing program.

another trick is if they give you the names in an excel sheet you can save the excel file as a web page then open up in browser and the you can copy paste directly into corel.
