What's the standard distance from platen to dryer belt?
« on: March 07, 2016, 02:08:47 PM »
I need to pour a pad for my new auto, how close to the dryer belt is the offload platen supposed to be?

and if i expect that sometimes the press will be loaded and unloaded by the same person, how much do you hedge towards the loading platen?

ours is 32"

as far as skewing or twisting the press goes, I'd suggest that you optimize for the performance speed when you have a puller... the extra 1/2 second isn't going to kill you when running solo, but will help you when running with a puller.

First figure out the pallet max in and out position. You don't want to set it up too tight when the pallets are all the way out. Plus make sure there is enough room for the shirt cart placement. How the dryer and press are set up to each other also matter. If I was you make sure the dryer and press can move position at least 2 feet. I have my dryer set up with about 5 feet of extra wire so I can change position of it. My press also can move about 2 feet. I didn't want to be wrong. I have moved it about 3 times in 5 years just a few inches. Mine is 32 to 27 inches dependent on pallet position.
