Transfer Express Numbers...
« on: February 16, 2016, 12:49:31 PM »
Teams rolling in and have for years used transfer express numbers on 100% poly jerseys with no issues, but the last few batches of numbers we got from them were printed so thin that the jerseys bleed really easily.  Anyone have this issue with them, also is there another go to, that offers the same thing but better quality?

Have not had that problem with opacity. We got a recent batch where a lot of the packs had inadequate adhesive powder. We had to double press times to get them to adhere to the garment. We told them about it and they agreed to replace those for us.

Just had the same issue with their numbers. The names were better and did not bleed at all, which made the numbers look even worse.

same here!  there has to be another option if they wont do it right, I have complained to them several times, but it goes in one ear and out the other.

Hate to hear this.....Been pretty lucky with them before.  About to have to order a bunch of numbers with baseball season looming quickly.  Anyone with other suggestions please let us know...Only bad thing about F&M is no 6" numbers which is what most of our softball teams prefer.  Always somethin!! ::)

they do offer a poly version of the transfers, not sure if it's available in the numbers, but I would imagine it is. . .

we've used them a boatload and have had some very small issues here and there, yes as mentioned, more recently than normally. It's good to know that we are not just imagining things. I'll keep an eye out for a little bit.

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!

Most of the time the transfers are good from them but we have some issues as well.

Had 2 color - white and gold transfers, some new some a few months old and the golds were different in color - we made sure not to mix one of each making a 2 digit number that would look terrible.  Came out okay luckily but stock colors man...

Wish we could have them come to this board and address these issues!  In public.

Still wishing...Here are some jerseys that are due today that are now messed up because TRANSFER EXPRESS will not fix the opacity issues.  I challenge them to come here and defend these issues or make them right.  The one on the right has low opacity the number on the left is fine, but next to each other on the same shirt it looks horrible.   Looks far worse in person.

My opacity has been good but yesterday I had to do a major league save job on a jersey and it still has a possibility of coming back.  They packaged the wrong color numbers in the black w/ white outline package.  You could not tell before pressing because the color was grey with white outline.  I peeled the backing and almost fainted when I saw it was grey.  Lucky for me I had ordered more than 1 pack so I opened another pack of the same #s and put it directly on top and it seemed to stick very well.  We will see what the washing machine does.  Stuff like that just should not happen.  If that jersey comes back I am out $30 because I will have to replace it.  That sucks!

We just had some black numbers yesterday that were having issues. Older batch was fine, new one would not peel. Placed a call to support and we are still waiting for the follow up phone call. . . There is a marked difference between the numbers, ones look gray and the others look black before pressing.
