Not being an embroiderer, I don't know, but are the prices from
Sulky
out of line?

I despise solvy. If the design lends itself, try sewing down a "lattice-work", much like a window screen for keeping the flies out, in the same color as the garment and then sew the design on top of the lattice-work. Make the lattice-work just a hair larger than the design. It works great (in my opinion) and really makes the design stand up on fleece, etc., which is the only place I would consider using solvy to begin with.

I think the lattice look is horrid. I have seen it, and I think it looks terrible. Solvy is a better option, and best of all, the customer won't know the difference after the garment is sewn and cleared of solvy.

I love solvy....use it on anything from fleece to towels. It really makes the design pop up and like the previous post, the customer won't even know it was used if cleaned up nice.
