soft ink on a 50/50 fleece

I have a customer with a pita request , very soft print on a 50/50 hoodie ofcourse the print has to be bright and opake but with no feel.

Black hoodie golden yellow and white print.

Ideas? 50/50 so discharge is out , waterbase means I have to buy new inks for a small run, thinning down my inks will make them less opake... I'm at a loss on this one.

Don't know if this has been tried before, but maybe do a discharge base so it lightens the fabric up somewhat, then do a plastisol white over the discharge base. I know 50/50's don't discharge all the way, but I'm curious to see the results.

I understand the soft print on a tight fitting shirt but on fleece you cant feel the print against your body so why does it matter?

Good point. People just like being a pita for the fun of it I guess. The softest prints I've gotten on a hoodie were with IC white ink through a 156 mesh I believe. Still had somewhat of a hand but it was a super smooth print.

Stupid question but  90/10  fleece is that a 100% cotton shell and poly inside? I can get away with a standard white correct? I always used 50/50 ink just incase. They just might have to upgrade to a more expensive hoodie.

Which IC white? I have 7031 and 714LF

I generally don't tend to worry about 90/10 bleeding if it's black, and they will typically
discharge pretty well.

The tultex/Independent have a cotton face to discharge, though both have failed on me
at one point or another.

Poly and soft print are mutually exclusive as far as I'm concerned. Smooth yes, soft hand no.

Which IC white? I have 7031 and 714LF

54D-16CP I think it was the Ryonet White.. Not huge on that company but the white was pretty nice, but it tends to have an inconsistent body. I'm just about finished with a 5 gallon bucket of QCM 158 and didn't mind it but I think I'm going to go back to Buffalo white.
