We got a surprise when we upgraded our accounting laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10.
Turns out Quickbooks 2014 won't run on Window 10. So glad we could roll back the OS to 8.1.
NO business should be "upgrading" to the newest version of anything before checking with the software vendor for compatibility ESPECIALLY your accounting systems. That said, since Win 7 there is a feature that allows you to right click on the program, select properties and choose "compatibility" there will be a drop menu, simply select the last known compatible version and save. It does not always work, but should not be an issue with QB.
