Gauntlet III head issues?
« on: January 28, 2016, 11:46:19 PM »
Is it normal for my 2 month old G3 to have the heads move up and down (front to back) at different speeds? The install tech didn't have enough time to solve the issue in head 2 and M&R sent a complete new setup. This didn't change anything but the second tech found that when a plastic washer was loosened, it "solved" the problem. Now I'm having the issue show up on different heads and I'm trying to figure out what is causing it. Would a screen cause it for some reason?

Can you clarify?  Squeegee speed not traveling at its setting or head lift/lower cyls not actuating at the same time?  If the latter that may be a peel setting but I defer to users of the g3. If the former,  our newer sportsman had a grip of bad squeegee speed pots that I'm replacing as they go out.

Whenever we have had this issue on our Challenger a few drops of oil in the screen choppers has fixed it.

our Gauntlet III has oil free cylinders...   i thought that it was not advised to oil them.

i think i know what you are talking about. there should be an air flow valve the controls the cylinders from going quicker, but regaurdless, we've found it hasn't effected printing.

We have made the machines both ways. Either way it does not hurt the system if you put oil on a shaft. Typically this will wipe away contaminents like spray adhesive. That is not what is happening above. That should be a call to the service manager.
