I built my own 2 laser system for under $75 and it worked flawlessly.

Let's see it!

I've been on their website... before tonight even. What lasers did you choose and how did you attach them?

I know this is off topic for this post, but rig up a xy scanner for one of these:

http://www.aixiz.com/store/product_info.php/cPath/54/products_id/419/osCsid/6752cdec7111a85abdaee501f56e1ffa

and you could have quite the screen exposure unit...

couple it with a DLP mirror system, and you could even do DTS like the Signtronic ones...

*engineer hat starts going on.

any issues with press vibration causing the lazer to move?
I don't know the answer to that but, I did think that, that might be an issue, so what I did was mount my laser setup to what resembles a microphone stand with the base of the stand bolted to my ceiling over the load station.

simple.... i like it.

Ours are from Axiz as well.

The only thing I'll mention is using a decent quality power supply, lasers are susceptible to power fluctuations.
And by susceptible, I mean no more worky.

Built one today for around $85
bought from amazon, banggood.com and home depot took about 35 minutes to put together, works great so far.

That'll work, but the stand will be a pain compared to binkspot's solution.

Obviously, we all make it work with whats within our budget so this is a great solution to get started. Eventually though, you'll need more from your lasers and upgrade (think of this as a diamondback and binkspot's is a sportsman).

Yes, we've won our share of awards, and yes, I've tested stuff and read the scientific papers, but ultimately take everything I say with more than just a grain of salt! So if you are looking for trouble, just do as I say or even better, do something I said years ago!
