Cam Spray 1500 Pressure Waher Maintenance

So it is time for our first pump oil change and I was hoping someone could let me know how this is done because the manual SUCKS!

Also what oil would you suggest.  The manual says use 30 wt. oil, but I called a pressure water company here and they recommended Cat Pumps oil because it would last longer than 30 wt. oil (which they said is actually an engine oil and not pump oil).

Since I know nothing about any of this I am hoping some of you here could make my life a little easier.

i dont know for your model pump specifically - ours calls for a 30 weight NON detergent oil.  our pump is made by General, so we got General brand oil.

Just spoke with someone at Cam Spray and straight SAE 30 once a year was what he recommended.  Also got the pump/motor diagram and he told me how to fill it (http://www.camspray.com/documents/1.5%20-%202.0%20Pump%20Motor.pdf).  Here is what he said in the event that someone else could benefit from it:

Remove 70 to drain oil.  After draining put 70 back (don't you love when you forget this step).  He suggested removing handle to bypass 94 when filling because it can take a really long time filling into 94.

Anyone have milky oil when draining to replace the oil in their camspray or other pressure washer?  Not sure if this is normal or if there is some water getting into the oil that shouldn't be.

the oil might be "frothy" from use 

ive seen this before - i let it sit in a clean and clear bucket and check to see if there is any water separating out.

That was going to be my questions, whether or not it had been used immediately before draining.

It was used about 30 minutes earlier.  Next drain I will let it sit to see if there is water that separates.

It should be a non foaming oil.
