A man left for work one Friday afternoon.  But, being payday, instead  of going home, he stayed out the entire weekend partying  with the  boys and spending his entire paycheck. When he finally appeared at  home, Sunday Night, he was confronted by a very angry wife and was barraged for nearly two hours with a tirade befitting his actions.

Finally his wife stopped the nagging and simply said to him,  "How would you like it if you did not see me for two or three days?"  To which he replied, "That would be fine with me." Monday went by and he did not see his wife. Tuesday and Wednesday came and went with the same results.

Come Thursday, the swelling went down just enough where he could see her a little out of the corner of his left eye.

There are also those out there who see this as a mere stepping stone, know their present market and limitations, and, if they have plans to grow,  buy something better with the money they can make with even a simple rig like this.
Hell, half of the jobs I do are one color, and half of them are dark on light.

Printed a few 50 piece orders with my girlfriend holding the screen in place, later built a really bad 1 color press with rigged side clamps before I new what side clamps were, curing (maybe..) the ink with a heat gun. Those were the days...

I tell these types to be sure to buy the best equipment they can, 'cause in a year or so when they want me to take it off their hands and save them from themselves, I only want good quality equipment in my shop.
If it's so easy, you do it.

The first press I worked on was a Vastex 4/4. After awhile, we had more work, and built a one color press out of 2x4's and 1/2" plywood, plus the 2 hinge clamps. That little POS printed 1000's of shirts... of course, one would like to graduate to better equipment. There's a market for everything, right?

one day after been in the printing trade for ten years i walk in to a shop who lost most of it`s bussines due to 9/11
i was looking for work the boss said to come on monday
 he own a old ten color auto spec machine build twenty years before
most of the screen has lost alot of tension exept 10 or 15 screens it was an empty shop
evidently he had little or no idea about the trade
one day came in to the shop barking orders he`s vietnam veteran saying that anybody could put ink on a t-shirt
i look at him in the eye and in my spanish accent said to him do you want this bussines back on track or not
i was offended by his words that anybody could put ink on a t-shirt yes that`s true
but just not anybody can master screen printing that can take years
after working in this company for 6 years it looks like screen printing shop should be
you never know boys and girls

TBH I got into this with a one color press from Ryonet, then I realized I need more so I got a 4 color richardson used, now I want a 6-8 color with tighter reg. or a small auto. I think the small stuff let that introduce people to a craft that they might not ever look into. Its not the best stuff but my one color last year made me $7000.00 how can you beat that?
