Which winged floodbar?

I was disappointed when uncrating my new gauntlet 3 to find regular floodbars packed.  It's my fault that I overlooked the upgrade option but all of their videos online and even the press setups at the shows all have the winged floodbars so I guess I assumed that they've done away with the ink traps and have moved to the winged floodbars. Now I'm going to have to sell these and buy winged replacements.

So which are better? Action engineering or M&R? There is about a $10 difference between them

IMHO I am pretty sure  M&R would be more than happy to have you ship your floodbars back and get credit towards
new winged ones. Even if you did order wrong ones. I am sure they want to keep their G3 customers happy.
If you have to buy new ones, well I am a fan of Action's products, and would be happy to pay a $10 ea difference
to get their winged floodbars.

He explained it in the first post... He was going to sell the ones he has and BUY NEW ones. Same reason any company in any industry offers "upgrades".... $$$$

trade them back to M&R, I have both and I prefer the M&R ones better.  which ever you choose, you are stuck with that brand forever.  they do not interchange well together, it will work but you will be making adjustments.  If you get 1 brand, set them and forget about it!

And while I understand the "upgrade" thing, certain options should not be,
like airlocks.

All new Sabre presses come with winged floodbars standard.  So I've been told.

Im not sure how it works, but if they aren't used yet, I;m sure they will take them back at what ever their price is and take that off the cost of the wings. Other companies call it, "standard", trust me, the cost is worked in somehow, nothing is free, especially with the cost of metals today. I'd give my sales guy a kick in the tail for not being more specific to everything. We had ours shipped with all the standard stuff, before we had the install, we wanted to get the Qwick Klamp, so they had us send all the un used holders back, and gave us that amount of Qwick Klamp holders in exchage. They are very fair, you just need to stay in contact and don't let time go by. Just like shipping shirts to a customer and they don't open the box for 3 months then have issues that they should have addressed within the first couple weeks. Also, dude, I'd really think about the Qwick - Klamp, it's awesome, you will never want to touch a bolt together hold, EVER, again. Also, congrats on the new press, you are going to love it man. We have tripled our flow easily to the point that we actually have open hours during the day to be filled now. Set ups from our ST CTS Tri locked with the GT3 are honestly 90-95% dead on each time. There are days with multi color set ups that I may not even touch a micro. It's tight man! and freakin fast!!!

Also, dude, I'd really think about the Qwick - Klamp, it's awesome, you will never want to touch a bolt together hold, EVER, again.

we use ours all the time here... nearly every time we clean squeegees, we take them apart and get all the ink cleaned out.

also nice to be able to easily and quickly swap squeegee rubber around... we've been playing with 60/90/60 squeegees a lot lately, but it's nice to be able to go back to a 70/90/70 or straight 70 when we need to.

Like dirk mentioned make sure whatever you go with only use that..... My guys used to pop screens due to the difference in height of the bars.

BTW - wing flood bars = standard on all roq presses......

Action might have changed their wing floods because I'm pretty sure we have a mix of both here and they're interchangeable.  I think the production crew liked the action ones slightly better in this case. 

Definitely go Qwik Clamp, this surprised as as one of the smartest purchases we've made, every squeegee blade should be loaded this accurately and easily.
