Yeah once it's at yello stop block, the side to side shimmy should be square enough for everybody but Einstein.

We had to look at this recently, and honestly the M&R style platens don't load consistently "square" to the stop block and print arm.  We found that you have to be careful how you lock the levers in or you have a little skew.  Not sure what the solution is to that with the existing platen style.

I've talked to danny about this for a while. every time the tri-loc is set up, there is a slight chance it's won't be perfectly straight. even with the stopping block square, our "newer" tri loc pallet is weighted really weird, so we had to devise a way to make sure it's loaded correctly. Unfortunaltey our main printer is out this week, and i'm trying to do some light pick up work on his press!

the wonkyness isn't that much, and as long as you don't move the trilock pallet once it's installed and you're registering screens, it shouldn't matter? (or should it?)

If the pallet is pushed against the front yellow block and a cam on each side activated at the same time you will be perfectly square. Even if you don't and its on one side the difference is very minor and fall within normal positioning tolerance.
