Sometimes, they just suck... Watermarks and low res helps at least with being ripped off. It's still nice art, but what does the public know?

It would cost them more to have another artist duplicate what we do, when we send a low-rez proof.
Of course thanks to Mugger Sam, now Red China and others might dance around that.......

Sounds true- but I prefer to take my chances in getting as much work as possible!
One or two times a year, I'm stiffed- BUT the more art I do, the better I get!

Getting more but work that isn't paying wont do you much good.  In fact it takes you away from actual paying work... think about it

The best art takes time and time cost money.   Typically I spend 20 to 30 hours on the art/setup and has about 1 to 5 hours in brain storming.  We always take payment upfront since we get booked.  The best thing to do is not get mad but learn and do things better the next time around.   Also getting better at new techniques and tricks helps.  As I say I have a constant expanding bag of tricks.
