m3 inks

Quick run-down.
I've got the m3 mixing kit and other m3 standard color inks, and I'll have some colors that tend to stick extremely bad when trying to print WoW (mainly the m3 red standard color and anything mixed with the Yellow kit color), even when put through 305mesh, no matter the print order, or if they're printed directly after a flash or further on down the line. Anyone ever had any issues like that before?

Had the same exact problem with those inks when I used them.  I never really found a fix other than adding a flash.  I switched to Wilflex about 3 years ago.

How about modifying the ink?

ES0022 NPT Tack Free Additive - Mix up to 5% NPT Tack Free additive into a NPT ink to reduce the
wet ink tack for easier printing and the after tack (Hot Tack) after a flash. Adding NPT Tack Free additive will
reduce the bleed characteristics of Low Bleed inks and increase the flash cure time depending on how much is
used.

why does the answer with Rutland inks always seem to be 'modify' them?

We RARELY, if ever, modify Wilflex inks...

When trying rutland products (under the direction of the technical sales staff who sells them) they wanted to modify right out of the bucket before even printing it -- because "I won't be happy with the performance of them straight out of the bucket"

Told them see ya, I'll stick with my Wilflex products.

Really don't like the idea of having to modify that stuff just to get it to print WoW (which they tout it as being a great wow printing ink). It's to the point where j can't even print the jobs due to it, so I may just have to give the Wilflex folks a call.

Rutland inks have a very high opacity and if you modify them it will affect the opacity and it will not help your wet on wet printing.  Been down this road for awhile adding a flash is your best option.
