I've never tried this, but I've got a short run of one color bright green on 100% cotton Gildans, with 9 blended hoodies thrown in. I'm tempted to discharge the whole job. Not enough piece count for 2 setups.

I'm using CCI D-Base premium and targeting 389, but I usually tweak that one quite a bit. I add extra D-White and use a high pigment loading. It isn't a PMS matched job. Just a bright, limey green.

If I PFP'd it , there would be a little more color on the fleece, but would the top layer pretty much just wash off?  Will it actually even build more color?

Thanks
Stan

Won't work. You'll likely never hit the color as your base will never be bright enough, and layering discharge
is contrary to the way it works, you won't build more color, and if you did, it would wash off.

Our Resort line includes cotton fleece. We do it all the time double hit depending on the design. with no flashing

I figured as much.

I'll just run the job as plastisol. No biggie.

And we have printed blended hoodies that HAVE discharged nicely! But not this blend.  :(

Thanks!

Force your client to use fleece that does discharge. For like a dollar more the results are better. Simple one color prints here but no flashing, no shrinkage, no nasty spray tack, easy hood prints, no thick prints. Easy clean up, easy print run, happy press op. Everyone wins

Let me rephrase that. Try to persuade your client to go for a better hoodie option. Even if it is a dollar or so more per unit.

Yes they do. ITC has stock on both coasts. Tultex does discharge but they are currently moving their factory so stock might be limited from my understanding.

Here is the back of a Tultex hoodie. Two screens no flash. Not the best pic but cool hoodies
