Warp drive in Matsui Stretch White
« on: February 02, 2016, 03:25:50 PM »
I'm running some 100% Poly ST700's tomorrow along with some Next Level 6210's (60/40 cotton/poly).  Can I add Warp drive to my Matsui Stretch White as I have that in stock and have no Fixer F.  I do also have some fixer N from a few years ago on the shelf.

Run a test before you leave and do a wash test tonight at home with a few load of laundry.  Should only take you 30 mins to setup and print out a one color...   Thats what I would do.

we only use fixer-N here, as fixer-F has a much shorter pot life.

no problems curing stretch white with fixer-N here at low temps

I am assuming 3% with the fixer N.  Are you curing at about 300 degrees for 2 min?  FYI I have a mini sprint w/ 10 feet of heat.

our standard mix is 3% fixer-N 3% retarder in our mixes, for discharge/waterbase 3% softener as well.

depends on the substrate...  we've run as low as 230 degrees with great results, and excellent washability.  It was explained to me by PJ when he was still at Matsui that you really are just evaporating the water and that there's really not a cross-link like wb/discharge when doing HSA.

we use a 10' mini-sprint as well

we run the belt at 4fpm when doing wb/discharge/hsa, so about 2.5 min in the chamber.
