Another "How would you print this?" Thread

This is just an example I found on google, don't have final art yet...

I am limited to 6 screens for direct printing, and cannot discharge it due to the shirt style and multiple shirt colors being used.  I see 8 screens for a spot print: (Base, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Top White) which I simply can't do.  Has anyone done something like this with CMYK+base+top white and seen good results?  What about something like Red/Yellow/Blue +base +top white?  I feel like the orange/green/purple could be pretty easy to hit with a little testing, at least easier than trying to match all 6 colors with cmyk.

This is my first rainbow print where I couldn't split fountain or discharge print it...Thoughts?

Are you stuck with specific colors or merely red, yellow, orange, blue, green, and purple?
I remember seeing a sheet on the wall of the art department at the place I used to work, and it showed the various shades of colors obtained by mixing certain percentages of stock and/or process colors.
I know that I have added green many times without a green screen, and your orange seems just as easy. The purple is the only one I'm less sure about a straight two color mix.
BTW, I've never printed CYMK for anything critical or realistic, only cartoon type designs with leeway

I don't think I'm stuck with specific colors. Pantone Matching was not at all discussed nor do I think it would be in their budget. I think just a close eye match with a blend that looks natural enough between the spectrum would suffice.

I've done this before base flash, cmy, flash, HW...worst part was hitting the purple, magenta and cyan make a chit purple in my book.....process printing is possibly the Kraft dinner of screen printing.... the cheesiest....

Any opinions on the seps as far as percentages to hit the secondary colors? YRBP would be print order?

Also, I'm on a manual so flashing only the base and before the top white is actually more work than just flashing every color. Tips on print order and percentages considering no wow blending would be appreciated as well.

Even in a manual, just flash the first white and print wet on wet for everything else.

156 - 190 on base should be good.
230 min and 305 preferred. Use high tension mesh and keep the tension pretty consistent.
Use some off contact.

Adjust the seps for a manual to cut them back by 10% more in all halftones. (In the mid tone) 50% area using curves in Photoshop.
