St. Louis Clothing Raises Funds For Infant Kidney Transplant
« on: August 14, 2015, 11:36:14 PM »
The St. Louis Clothing Company, Fenton, Mo., is joining forces with The Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA http://cotaforblakeb.com/), a national charity dedicated to organizing and guiding communities in raising funds for transplant-related expenses, to raise money for Blake Bahr. The infant, who was born Nov. 11, 2014, has been diagnosed with end stage renal failure and will need a transplant. The estimated cost is $500,000.

On August 17, COTA assisted in organizing a “Steak for Blake,” night in Arnold, Mo., where the Texas Roadhouse donated 10% of food purchases to COTA. In October another event, which combines a dinner, auction and trivia night also will raise money for this cause.

In the meantime, Tim Lynch created a fundraising webstore https://stores.inksoft.com/brave_blake) that is selling “Brave Blake’s Battle,” T-shirts and revenue donated from these sales will be donated directly to COTA.

One way Lynch is promoting the web page is through Reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/Assistance/comments/3e7dyo/brave_blake_needs_help_diagnosed_with_end_stage/, which is an entertainment, social networking, and news website where registered community members can submit content. The T-shirt fundraiser ends on August 16.
