Fusion dryer belt motor
« on: October 21, 2015, 04:09:08 PM »
So this just happened. we were printing and the dryer was set at the speed of 4.5

all of a sudden the belt speeds up wicked fast and nothing can decrease the speed. I turned off dryer, and now its running really fast until it hits the 300 degrees..

What the hell would cause this?

Motor control. Likely a KBIC which seem to be failure prone.
Could be the speed control pot gone bust though, and I'd start there.
