Problems with Interchange Air Jet gas dryer-

I know its a long shot, but looking for anyone who works on these dryers in the MA area who could troubleshoot this. We have 2 big issues. Belts are getting eaten at about 3 a week... 2- Our temp system is not working properly. We have to bump up the selected value 1-2 degrees at a time. Any more than that, the flame signal drops from the wanted 7-8 range immediately down to 2-3 and fails, having to restart and purge all over. Takes about an hour or more to bring it up to 380...

Belt sounds like the auto adjuster is not getting air or not working, assuming you are eating the sides.

Flame sounds like a gas supply issue, not getting enough gas to maintain a flame when the modulator valve is wide open. But once it reaches temp the valve is closed enough to maintain enough gas going to the burner. Could be a something obstructing the fire box, regulator on the dryer or outside the building at the meter, the gas companies regulator or even a local supply issue.

  I agree that the belt may not be getting enough air. This could be the air flow going to the unit
or more likely the mac valve. We also had a very similar problem with the flame. Could be the gas
supply (pressure) but we changed the flame rod and haven't had a problem since. Sometimes
you can adjust the flame rod which worked as a temporary fix but all problems went away when
we changed the rod.

IMO the air driven belt adjustment was a feat of over engineering and a bandaid. I have always disconnected those on Ray-Paul and Interchange dryers.
