Behold - The power of light
« on: June 03, 2015, 10:36:07 AM »
I get up pretty early each morning, get the dog's food ready, and enjoy a sunrise looking out my kitchen window.
One of my many "treasures" is the radiometer my wife once got me when after she heard me mention that I was always fascinated by them since first seeing in a Disneyland gift shop back in 1957!

It really wails this time of year. Here's a video from youtube about them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cey-JBeHrww
Still blows my mind. Lotsa stuff about them on the interwebs

That rug really tied the room together, did it not?

I worked with a guy once I called the human radiometer he spent all day going around in circles in a perfect vacuum too. The only difference was he never saw the light  ::)

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES COMPLETELY WITHIN MY CONTROL YOU SHOULD GET YOUR OWN TEE SHIRT AND A SHARPIE MARKER BY NOON TOMORROW OR SIMPLY CALL SOMEONE WHO GIVES A SHIRT.

Bought my first one at Disneyland in the mid-sixties & it disappeared when i was away at college. Bless my mom - she surprised me with this one about 30 years ago.

Wives and moms can have certain similarities, eh?
